Animation Timeline
This is my animation timeline powerpoint that I have done showing how animation has advanced over the years.
My Animation Bird gets ate by Shark
In this blog I am going to be explaining the stages I went through in creating my Animation, first what i did was I did some research on Animation and learnt about Animation is a process by which we see still pictures move and that Animation is showed at the rate of 12 pictures per second at the minimum frame rate. I also found out that England is shown at 24 rates per second and America is shown at 29.7 rates per second, Something else I found out the Flicker Fusion Thrush Hold 12 rates per second. I also learnt about The Moving Hand Theory which is by moving your hand in front of your hand very fast.
Then what I did whilst building up to making my Animation was come up with an idea to do for it and my idea that I came up with was a bird who gets ate by a shark.
Then I did all my drawings for my animation on A6 paper but i had to cut the paper down from A4 to A6 paper.
Then what I did was using the iStop Motion I mad my 1 minute 30 second animation using this program and it was a great success using this program and i created my animation.
Edward Muybridge
Edward Muybridge
Edward Muybridge had a big influence in I Stop Motion and a big
influence on photography. It all started in 1904 when he moved to Kingston and
became a Photographer and was the major influence into Stop motion techniques when using a camera and had
a Coronation stone named after him. Edward Muybridge had lots of different
names his real name was Edward Muybridge but when he had the coronation stone
with his name onto it he changed his name to Eadward Muybridge when he opened
his own bookstore. When Edward Muybridge then went onto name himself just
Muybridge and didn’t call himself Edward. Then when he went to South
America he called himself Eduardo Santiago Muybridge.
Edward didn’t want to go
into the family business when he was younger his mum had her own Boat depot and
he didn’t want to go into that he was always interested in Photography and
being a book writer. His first breakthrough was when he opened his own
bookstore and started to write about photography. Edward
Muybridge wasn’t poor and had a lot of money of his own and didn’t rely on his
family although they did support him in his career path. After this one of the
major breakthroughs in his life happened with him moving on and he decided to
move to California and went onto focusing on studying images as well as photography. Muybridge then became Muybridge the Photographer and opened up his
own film studio called Helios Flying Studio so he could show all his work and
people can aspire to his work.
Edward Muybridge was also an artist and was a chemist as well and
learned how to become an artist from other artists in Europe. Another major
breakthrough in Edward Muybridge’s life was that he knew he was onto something
special and he was making progress. The biggest breakthrough in Edward
Muybridge’s life was when he was involved in an accident where his life flashed
before him and he thought it was all over for him he was also seeing double of
everything which inspired him into doing photography but he recovered after
this accident. After his accident all his work was selling over the world and
he was making good progress with his work and people were buying into his
ideas.
Edward Muybridge influenced people into Stop Motion techniques when he was
trying to prove the way horses ran and if their four feet came off the ground
and he was hired by a business man and a race horse owner this man was also the
former governor of California Leland Stanford this was called The Horse Motion
and what he did was got 24 cameras and lined them up perfectly and when the
horse ran across he had tape going across which would trigger the camera when
the horse was going across to create the Stop Motion techniques and Edward named this Sallie
Gardner at a Gallop. After Edward had proven his theory that horses four feet
do come of the ground when they are running some people still didn’t believe in
his theory and some people bought into his theory that it was true.
Another turning point in his life was in 1872 when he got married to
a woman called Flora
Shallcross Stone, a divorcee 21 years old, and half his age but two years into
the marriage Flora his wife had an affair with a man called Major Harry Larkyns
the baby was called Florado who was seven months old. Once Edward had found out
about this he went over to his house in the north of San Francisco to Calistoga
to track down Major Harry Larkyns Muybridge had said Good Evening my name is
Muybridge and here is the answer to the letter you sent to my wife and then
shot him at point blank range and he was killed instantly.
