Pre Production Essays

Pre Production Techniques for the creative media have their similarities and differences, there is Film, TV, non-broadcast videos, radio, audio, media, web, computer games and photo imaging.

Film

Film has similarities and differences they have lots of similarities such as finance because you need to have a set budget on the film and they cant spend over that certain amount of money. Another similarity would be the editor of the film because you would need a editor because you will need someone to edit the film and you also need a editor for photography to add effects to the photo and you will need this for making a film. There are some differences because for a film you need a age certificate to show who the film is suitable for a certain audience to watch the film. Another difference is the genre of the film because you can make the film a comedy, action or ScFi film where as for photo you don't need a genre for the photo these are some of the similarities and differences for film.

Video


Video has similarities and differences they have lots of similarities such as finance because if you are making a film trailer or a music video you need a set budget of money to spend on this video or trailer. Another similarity would be actors because you need actors in the video and you need to get the right actor to play in your video or film. There aren't any differences because film and video are the same so there will not be any differences.

TV

TV also has similarities and differences such as copyright because they will not want a company copying the film that they have made so they will sign documents saying that you cant copy the film and it is also illegal. Another similarity would be target audience because you need to make a film for a certain audience such as 15-40 and they need this so they don't make a film that will not get watched and they do this in video and film. A difference would be TV license because TV has a license to show certain movies and shows and TVs and if the film is not suitable to be seen on TV they will not show the film that you have made. Another difference would be channel because you cant always show your film on a channel it has to be suitable to go on that channel if the film has swearing on it cant be shown till after 10 where as Sky movies and film 4 show films with swearing throughout the day.

Photo Imaging


Photo imaging has its similarities and differences such as recruitment you need to get the right crew in to take a picture say if you are doing modeling you want your best directors and photographers taking the photo and everything has to perfect like in film and video. Another similarity would be Deadlines because in the media you always have a set deadline whether it be making a film making a music video or a trailer you always have to meet your deadline and it is the same in photo imaging. A difference in Photo imaging would be equipment because you need different equipment you will need a better equipment better lighting equipment it all needs to be the best you can get. Another difference would be photographs you need to get them on posters especially if you are doing modeling for Armani you would need it on a big poster outside the store advertising there brand new product.

Radio


In Radio there are similarities and differences such as recruitment for example if you are recruiting for radio one with it being aimed at people aged 15-29 you need someone within that age and it is the same for other radio stations they will employ people in that age range. Another similarity would be Restrictions because like in films you have restrictions in what you say and you cant swear and this is the same in some films you can’t swear. A difference would be in the car because you listen to the radio in the car and that is where people listen to the radio and you can watch films and videos in the car. Another difference would be pay to play song because they pay to play the songs that they want on where as films doesn't do this.

Computer Games


When making a video games there are some Similarities and Differences such as Age Certificate you need a age certificate for the game so it can be suitable for a certain age to play this game and it would be illegal if it didn't have it. Another Similarity would be Recruitment because you need to Recruit the right team to create the game and do all the editing for the game and put the music onto the game and create the cover for the game. A difference would be that you will not need a director or a producer into making the game where as you will when making a film and you will need this in a film to direct the film and also produce the film. When making a computer game you also need to think about the budget in how much you are going to spend on it for example if you are going to make a game and you have 1 million as your set budget too spend on it you cant go over that amount. Something else would be that time if you have a set release date that means that the game should be coming out by that time but they sometimes games get put backwards because they haven't finished making the game yet this can sometimes happen.

Interactive 


Interactive has its similarities and differences such as computer games because you are interacting with them you are using the controller and with the new generation of games you can tell the Xbox, PS3 and the Wii to do what you want for example if you say play game it will play it for you. Another Similarity would be that you need a Designer a Producer people like this and say if you are making a Spanish you will need a Language Specialist to make the DVD. A difference would be Age Restrictions because you wont need a age restriction for making a language DVD for people to learn Spanish it can be for all ages. Something’s to take into account for interactive would be that for example if you are making a Spanish Learning Language DVD you would need materials to make it. Also you will need personnel to make it like a Spanish language Specialist, Editors and Designers in there to make it all by putting all the sound in there and putting everything onto a Disk by burning it on there.

Web

Web has its similarities and differences such as Age Restrictions because there isn't an age restriction to log on to the internet you can get on to the internet at any age. Another similarity would be that video because you can go onto youtube watch music videos, trailers for the latest films. A difference would be that in the in the car you cant watch videos because you wont have a very good internet connection and all it will do is buffer lots so you will not get to watch the video. Somethings to take into account would be that you have finances with the web incase you want to make a web page you will have a set budget on what you want to spend on making the web page. Another thing to take into account with web would be contributors who are you going to hire to make the web page and also are you going to contribute in making the webpage yourself.

Understanding the Requirements for a specific media production

Type of Production

The type of production that I will be making is a metrosexuality documentary on why do men care more now about there appearance now to maybe 20 years ago and why do men go to salons to get there hair cut now and get things done at salons more often than what they used to. I would also like to find out why single men care more about there appearance and why men also care more about there hairstyle and spend more time in front of the mirror styling there hair. I will be going to a salon where I go to get my hair cut called Jo Ferns in Ashton to get not just the mens point of view and also the womens point of view as to why do men care about there appearance more now and why do more men come to salons to get there hair styled and cut.

Finance

When making a TV factual the group that you may be in will all chip in money to help fund for the certain area that you might want to film but sometimes you don’t need money and where you will want to film will not cost you anything to film. For example if you wanted to film in a hair dressers you will not end up having to pay to film there but if you wanted to film something for a film that it coming out in cinemas then that will cost you money to film in a certain area. The paperwork that you will need for Finance is Actor Release forms so you will then have a signature showing that the actor has agreed to be in your film. You will need a production schedule showing when you start filming and when it all needs to be completed by. You will need Recces so you can make notes on the location for each shot. You will need a Risk Assessment showing if there is any risk to be taken where you are filming. Whilst filming you will need a Shooting schedule to show the days that you are filming your factual.

Time

Time is very important in making factuals for example if you are making a factual that is due to go on the radio in a week you will need to use your time well by having a day of filming your interviews and a day of editing and a day of getting cutaways for the factual to allow the documentary can run smoothly the factual so then the factual will be able to be released on time. You will also need a day to fill out and do all the paperwork because you will have to fill out lots of paperwork such as Shooting Schedules Actor Release Forms and Call Sheets. A shooting schedule will be important when managing your time when making factuals because this allows you to write down dates when paperwork has to be done it has a dates on there for when you start and finish filming.

Personnel

A producer would choose people depending on the size of the production for example if you are making a 5-minute factual you will only need 4 people maximum to interview and you will also need cutaways to go into it a introduction to the factual and a conclusion explain what you have found out during the course of making your factual. The producer will also choose people on skills such as someone who is really good on camera and good with camera work.. The producer will also choose people who are reliable and are trustworthy and he will also choose someone who is good at editing cause they will be editing the factual and making the factual look good and bring the viewers to watch the factual. The Producer will also choose people on cost if your making a documentary on metrosexuality then your not going to interview David Beckam cause it will be to expensive to interview him. What you will do is go to salons and get their opinions on how men have changed and how they care about the appearance now. 

Facilities

The facilities that are needed for Factual can depend on what you are making if you are making a metrosexuality documentary the place that you are going to need to film is a Salon or a hair dressers so you can interview the stylists in there and get cutaway form there you could make your whole factual in there. You could also go to a barber to get their points of view on metrosexuality. If a facility is not available in Manchester for example if you are not able to go to a salon and film your documentary you could go to a barbers and get there points of view because they would cut men’s hair or you could go to the Gay Village in Manchester and ask them about metroseuality and why do men now care more about their appearance and why is it acceptable for men to wear make up.

Materials

The Materials that you will need for a factual is a camera that allows you to film, You will need a tri pod to put the camera on so the camera will not wobble whilst you are filming your factual, You will need spare battery’s encase the cameras battery is dying then you can just change the battery and carry on filming as it will not effect your filming.  You will need a microphone to put onto the camera so that your factual can get good sound and when your interviewing you can hear the interviewee speaking into the camera. The paperwork that you will need for keeping track of all the materials you need is an equipment list so you can write down all the equipment you have taken out and tick off when you have handed the equipment back in. You will also need a signing out sheet if you are borrowing some equipment such as a camera this will be needed to keep track of all the equipment that’s gone out and what’s been signed back in.

Contributors

The people who will contribute to my Metrosexuality documentary are stylists so this could mean that they are specialists in fashion and all stylists will have different opinions on metrosexuality. The paper work that will be needed for the contributors are Actor release forms because hen you have a signature that shows that they will be in your factual and if you don’t do this then they could sue you if you fake there signature and this also illegal. The way you would find the contributors are if you know where the salon is then you can ether go in and speak to them about the possibility of using the salon for your film or you could phone up and if they say yes you can use the salon them you can then organise a date so you can then go in and film there.

Locations

I have identified the location for my metrosexulaity film, which is Jo ferns in Ashton, and they have said I am allowed to film there. I have chosen Jo Ferns as the place to make my documentary because there are a mixture of men and women stylists who works there and I will be interviewing 4 of the stylists 2 men and 2 women so I can get different opinions on metrosexuality from both men and women and I also get my hair cut in that salon. I can use different locations such as barbers or I could go to the Gay village and get some different point of views and I could get some cutaways from there. The paperwork that you need for location is a Call Sheet because this shows how you are getting to the location that you need to get to it also shows times you start and time you end filming and the Call Sheet also shows the location of where you are filming. You need to fill out a Risk Assessment to show if they’re any risks of the equipment getting damaged or the producer getting hurt and the only Risks at a Salon is that there is quite a few taps for water where the stylists wash your hair so keep the camera away from water or If it is raining don’t film in the rain.

Codes of practice and regulation

When making a TV factuals the professional practices that you go through are how to use the camera properly and how to attach the camera to the tri pod. You also get thought. You also get thought when you’re filming to keep quiet so your voice doesn’t go over the interviewee’s voice. We also get thought about how to get the right interview shot and not to have too much headroom when you are filming the interview. You are thought about the right questions and how to get good answers out of the interviewee and if they don’t answer the question or give you the answer you want then you ask the question again in a different context. A reporter is professional and they how this for example on the BBC News the reporter is always dressed smartly in a suit and tie his posture is straight and when he is delivering the news from the day he will deliver it in a very serious voice. The legal issues that can affect a factual TV producer is copyright you cant copy anything that is already been made and if it is done you can be sued this is the main legal issue you must overcome when making a factual. Findings and Evaluation for my 2D and 3D Animations and What I think about the Animations

This is some feedback that I got from my fellow students Shaf Islam and Andrew Goodwin and they have wrote to me via twitter about my 2D Animation Lets Race and my 3D Animation Opposite Joe. In the feedback that I was given of Andrew Goodwin he said that My animation was very inspirational and was very good. Andrew also said that what could have been improved about my animations were that they could have been slightly longer. Shaf Islams feed back again via Twitter was that the ideas that I came up with for my animations were well thought out animations which is similar to what Andrew said. Shaf also said that my animations were really good and that he enjoyed watching them which is also similar to Andrews comments. 

Overall I feel that I have gained some strong feedback for my animation work what I thought I did well in this animation unit is I think that the two ideas that I have come up with were really well researched and well thought out I started out when making my 2D animation by drawing up a mind map of some ideas such as making a nickelodeon and E4 sting I also had the idea for my 2D animation to do a which I ended up doing which was the Lets Race Animation which is an advertisement based on when you are doing sports that its not always about the winning that counts when doing sports or competing with your friends. I didn't end up doing the E4 and Nickelodeon stings because a lot of my fellow students were making them animations or advertisements so I decided to go on a different approach and do a  Mario Kart remake and I made my own version with different characters and I designed my own trackand had a look at a few tracks from the kids television program wacky racers and I also looked at Mario kart tracks from the games after this was done I drew up my track I also went through the same process when I was creating my characters and what I did then was drew out some characters and the cars which I printed off online and once I was at this stage I animated it using iStop Motion and I enjoyed creating my animation and putting all my idea together this was in the process of creating my 2D animation. I think that my 2D animation links wont my proposal that I wrote up after doing my mind map on my proposal I set out with summary of content and I wrote in that I wanted to make my own version of Mario Kart but showing that its not always about winning its about the taking part that counts and I think that I followed my proposal. In my proposal I wrote that I would be creating a advertisement that I will be lasting around 30seconds-1minute and when my advertisement was created it lasted 35 seconds so I feel that I have again related my proposal. The intended audience that I wrote down for my advertisement would be aimed at 6-12 year olds and when creating my animation at the end of the advertisement when the characters are crossing the finish line I decided to add the Mario kart winning theme tune on at the end so i feel that I have again related to my Proposal.
When I was creating my 3D animation the process that I went through in making my 3D aniamtion was similar to the process of my 3D because I drew up a mind map and wrote down some mind maps so I could then make a decision on the animation that I was going to create the animations that I wrote down that I was going to create was the advertisement that I made Opposite Joe which is an advertisement about how to keep fit and that you must eat a balanced diet and on my mind map I had my mind set on creating this animation and what I did Is started out doing some research into keeping healthy advertisements and the one I looked into the most is the Change for Life adverts and did some research on them and based my advert on them and what I did first was make my characters and I made them out of clay and after making these I decided to create some food using clay I made 3 pieces of junk food and 3 pieces of healthy foods and the story of it was the two characters are about to do some exercise and they choose to have some food and there is a choice of a burger and chips or fruit and veg and they kick away the junk food and eat all the healthy food and they go on a run after it doing here daily 30 minutes of exercise and once they have done the exercise they stand together saying eat a healthy balanced diet and most importantly keep fit going across the screen. With my 3D animation after deciding on the Idea to create a Healthy Eating advert I wrote up a proposal and this was where I decided the Working Title for my advertisement being Opposite Joe and I have stuck with that name so I feel that I have related to my proposal with that name. The intended audience of my advertisement was all ages because it is an advertisement on keeping fit and eating a healthy balanced diet so I feel that I have related back to my advertisement with my intended audience. In my proposal I wrote about the Summary of Content in my Advertisement and the length of the animation, What I wrote in the summitry of content was there would be two characters one boy one girl and they are hungry and there is some food there healthy food being a orange and a apple and some junk food being a burger and chips and what they both do is kick away the junk food and this symbols that to cut down on all the junk food and eat more healthy foods such as apples and oranges and then they both go and do exercise and that follows to motto at the end of the advertisement Eat a Healthy and Balanced Diet and Keep Fit and I feel that all this happens in the advertisement. I wrote down about the Length of my animation I wrote down between 1 minute  and 1 minute and 30 seconds and I managed to get the animation to 1 minute and 15 seconds so I feel that in the advertisement I followed my proposal.
What I could have improved is maybe the length of the animations I think that my 3D animation could have been a bit shorter and one thing that I have already improved in my 3D animation is that there was no voiceover in there and what I did is added my own voice into it explaining the advertisement with the animation being about healthy eating. One thing I would have liked to improve on my 2D animation I would like to improve the drawing of the track that I drew out and maybe draw out a crowd onto the track and add some crowd noises into the background to show tension in the crowd when the race is happening and by doing this it would make the track that I created a lot more realistic.

if I was to do this unit again I would take a different approach and make two completely different animations I would like to create my own Nickelodeon sting or E4 stings for my 3D animation and for my 2D animation I would like to create something on anti bullying and showing why it is wrong to bully people for any differences they have as I feel that bullying is a very serious matter and that it should be stopped and people should fight against bullying and stop it happening to people because nobody deserves to be bullied.  

Evaluation for my 3D Animation

The animation that I have created for my 3D Animation is an eat healthy advertisement called Opposite Joe and the main influence I got from making this from when I was watching the Change for Life adverts because I had the Idea to make an eat healthy advertisement but with the Change for life adverts being made out of clay and they use morphs it was the main influence for me to do it in a similar way to Change for Life. I designed all the morphs and created them out of clay myself and the food that I put into the advert I also made them out of clay myself. After all the designing I created the animation and the first scene the two characters are stood there and the healthy and junk food move from the let and right and when I was using iStop Motion this all went smoothly and worked fine. The second scene is the two characters kicking away the junk food and are about to start eating the healthy food and when making this I had a bit of trouble moving the legs up and going to kick it because one of the legs snapped off but after that it all worked fine and when I went back to watch it it looked good and you see the legs go back and go to kick the food. The third scene is where they both eat the apple and orange and this was the scene where I had most trouble making the animation because the food was to heavy for them to pick up and eat to I have them bending down and eating the food and I kept on picking bits of the apple and orange off so and then when watching the animation back it now looks like they are eating the food and the two characters eat the food very quickly. The fourth scene is after the two characters have ate the food they both go on a jog showing to as well as eat a healthy balanced diet you should also exercise and when making this scene I had no trouble making this scene. The fifth scene and final scene is just the two characters stood there and I have my slogan going through saying Eat Healthy and Keep fit going across in front of them and making this scene for my animation I had no trouble making it. If I was to create another 3D animation I would make an Nickelodeon or a Cartoon Network sting to go on the television before the cartoon starts or film this is because I have always wanted to create one but I choose to make the Eat healthy advertisement instead.

3D Characters that I am going to be using

This is an image of what I am going to be suing in my animation I have made to healthy foods in an Apple and a Orange. The junk foods that I have made are a Burger and a portion of Chips and they are going to kick the junk food our of the way and eat all the healthy food that is There and then they will go for a jog after it to burn it off then I will have Eat Healthy and Stay Active at the end and I add some music into the animation and some sounds to the characters. I am going be the narrator in the background of the animation speaking about why it is vital to have a balanced and healthy diet and most of all to keep fit because constantly eating junk food and isn't good for your body so with my animation I am also raising awareness about the growth of obesity in England by doing this for my 3D animation. 

3D Mind Map

This is the mind map that I have done to show how I have came up with the idea to create my Eat Healthy 3D Animation and there is just a few points that I have wrote on the way to coming up with my idea for my 3D animation such as the going on a jog after eating the food and also kicking the junk food away on the advertisement. 

3D Storyboard

This is my StoryBoard showing what I want to happen in my 3D animation which is called Opposite Joe. First what will happen will be my 2 characters stood in front of two types of foods in junk foods such as Burgers, Chips and there will also be some Healthy food such as apples and oranges. What will happen next is the two characters will kick away the junk food and start to eat all the healthy foods showing that they are better for you and this is the meaning of my animation. Then what will happen next is they will go on a jog to try and keep fit and this is showing that doing exercise is important to do in your life. Then at the end of the Animation my slogan will come up saying Eat Healthy and Keep Fit. 

Analysing 3D advert Change For Life Snack Swapper

This is another advert that I looked at by Change For Life whilst coming up with my idea of a Healthy Eating animation. When watching this advert about snack swapping I came up with an idea in mine to use the characters kicking away the junk food from them and then eating the Healthy food instead. Another part of this advert that I am gong to take some inspiration from is the narration in the background I feel that the narrator in this advert is very important because what he is doing in the advert is raising awareness about swapping your snacks but this doesn't mean at home this could include school where instead of having a bag of crisps for your break you could have a apple or an orange sometimes just so you are able to keep your balanced diet Overall I have got a lot of inspirations from these to adverts on how to create my advert. 

Analysing Healthy Adverts 3D Change for Life

This is one of the adverts that I have looked at whilst coming up with my idea to do a healthy eating adverts. This is part of my inspiration to make it because it shows the morph characters eating an apple and eating healthy and doing some exercise straight after they have eaten an healthy meal or snack. But what I am going to do is come up with my own slogan rather than using change for life I will use Eat an Healthy Balanced Diet. I have chosen this topic because Britain has become second to america as the second biggest country for the increase in obesity in children. What I decided to do is make my own 3D animation based on eating healthy as I feel this is becoming out of hand and parents need to get there children doing exercise instead of keeping them sat in doors most of the time and I feel that it will show its benefits by doing a healthy eating advertisement to show that doing an hour of exercise can go a long way in helping you keep a balanced diet but also maybe stop eating lots of chocolate a day and maybe have some fruit just to help you keep and have a balanced diet.

3D Animation Program Research

Here are some images of the 3D Morph characters that are used in 3D programs such as Wallace and Gromit who made the biggest breakthrough and made 3D Animation known to the world which was created by Nick Park it consisted of 4 series which had 4 shorts films on it and then in 2004 a Wallace and Gromit movie was released called Wallace and Gromit the Curse of the Ware Rabbit. Wallace and Gromit was one of the first 3D Animation programs to use stop-motion and when the first program of Wallace and Gromit aired on the 24th December 1990 which was called a Grand Day out it was all different to everyone because nobody had seen stop motion before and cause of this it was nominated for one of the best short films to be released. After this in 2005 there was a Wallace and Gromit film that was released onto the big screens and this was again huge because Wallace and Gromit hadn't been released in Cinemas before and Nick park the man who created Wallace and Gromit got an academy award for this film and earned a 5 year contract to make more films such as Flushed Away and after this the contract fell through due to differences in creating the films. In 2013 Peter lord tweeted that there were no plans at present time to go and create a new short film and in 2014 he then Nick Park the Creator of Wallace and Gromit tweeted that there may never be another Wallace and Gromit Short film due to the declining health of the main actor Peter Stills so as you can see Wallace and Gromit is massive the development of Stop Motion and was the launch pad for a lot of other 3D Stop motion.

Toy Story was the first american animated film adventure film which was created by Pixar Animated Studios which was a company that was released by Walt Disney before he passed away Toy Story was a laugh pad for other Pixar films to be released such as Monsters INC, UP, WALL E .When Toy Story was first released into cinemas it was really successful and on its first weekend of being on the big screen it grossed over $361 million because of how different it was and it was praised for its technical innovation because again like Wallace and Gromit this was all new to people and it had never been seen before and the executive producers behind all Toy Story was Steve Jobs and Edwin Catmull. The first Toy Story received 3 academy awards such as Best original Screen Play, Best original score and Best Original Song which was You've Got a Friend in Me and now Toy Story is widley regarded as one of the best animated films ever made and then after the film Disney started to create and build action figures for the film such as Buzz and Woody and all the other characters they were creating everything for the film and this was a launch pad for the second film to be released in 1999 Toy Story 2 and then in 2010 Toy Story 3 was announced to everyone and they both generated the same amount of money as the first one because of how much of a big success it was and just recently Pixar announced there would be a final instalment to the series being Toy Story 4 in 2017.There are also recently built rides in DisneyLand Florida which have now been built such as Buzz Lightyears Space Rangers Spin Which is in the Magic Kingdom in DisneyLand Florida and there are also Toy Story Character Greetings as you can see by this Toy Story was the launch pad and behind most of the success involving Pixar and Stop Motion. 

3D Animation Proposal

In this blog I will be talking about my 3D animation that I am going to be creating. For my 3D animation I will be creating a Eat Healthy animation and I will be creating my own characters out of clay. I will also be creating the foods such as the healthy foods so that will consist of apples pineapples and oranges. The junk food that I will be creating will also be made out of clay and this will be pizza chips. The meaning of the animation will be to eat healthy and stay fit and what will happen is there will be two characters and they will have choice to eat the healthy food or the junk food and the characters will kick the junk food out of the way and they will eat the healthy food and then what will happen is they will go on a jog to burn off the food and lose some weight. The animation will show that you should keep an healthy balanced diet and also do exercise at the same time and this is the meaning of the animation.

Working Title 

The working title for my 3D animation will be Opposite Joe because I don't really eat healthy myself so with it being about me I am demonstrating an opposite day for my by starting to eat a bit more healthy myself and having a balanced diet that is why it is called Opposite Joe

Medium to be Used

My animation is going to be done using clay to make the characters and I will also be using clay to make all my foods because this animation is a 3D animation with my last animation I used paper to create my animation so I am going to be using clay as a change.

Intended Audience 

The intended audience of my animation will be aimed at everyone because everyone should be eating a healthy balanced diet and doing the right exercise to keep fit and this will be the meaning of my animation and with my animation it will include a Snack swapper which is aimed at everyone showing that when your on your breaks at School, College and Work instead of having a bag of crisps or a chocolate bar go for something healthy like an apple or an orange just son you are keeping your balanced diet.

Indication of Style

The style that my advert will be educational because the animation or advert might inspire people into eating healthy and having a balanced diet. My animation also will inspire people into doing exercise such as jogging or maybe going gym that is the meaning of the animation.

Summary of the Content

The summary of the animation will be to eat healthy and stay fit and what will happen is there will be two characters and they will have choice to eat the healthy food or the junk food and the characters will kick the junk food out of the way and they will eat the healthy food and then what will happen is they will go on a jog to burn off the food and lose some weight. The animation will show that you should keep an healthy balanced diet and also do exercise at the same time and this is the meaning of the animation.

Length and Size of my Product

The length of my animation that I will be creating will be 30 seconds long because with it being an advertisement and meaning something I don't want it being to long and with it being 30 seconds I can fit everything in the animation and be able to get my point across to people to eat healthy and have a balanced diet within the 30 seconds mark and I think that it is achievable to be able to do this within this time mark.

Evaluation for my 2D animation

The animation that I have created is a race around a hand drawn track that I have designed myself with the characters that I have which are Red Blue Green and Yellow and they all race around the track competing against each other to win the race. I also designed the track myself and I looked at some images of formula one tracks and the inspiration I took was from the Barcelona formula track to design my track with the two sharp corners and the long straights thats the inspiration that I took from that and designed the rest myself. After this when I was creating my animation what I did was because the camera wouldn't be able to view all the track so when I was moving the four characters around the track I moved the track first then the characters and this went well. Another thing that went well whilst I was creating my animation was when I was adding the sound effects from youtube onto final cut express such as the car noises that I used the Mario Kart Ready, Steady, Go which they use in there games I used this because thats the main inspiration for my animation. One of the troubles that I had whilst making my animation was the darkness changed mid way through the animation so I had to add some effects to the animation and make the colours brighter and then I had to render the animation. If I was to do this animation again what I would do is completely change my idea and do something different instead of Mario Kart.

My idea for my 3D animation that I am creating is a Healthy Eating animation and what I want to happen in this animation is there is going to be 2 characters and I am going to have a selection of junk foods and healthy foods and the two characters are going to kick the junk foods out of the way and eat the healthy foods. Then what is going to happen is after they have eaten the foods they are going to go on a jog to show that you need to keep fit and eat a balanced diet and that is the meaning of this animation that I am going to be creating.
